Simple Moonstone Earrings for Summer

Round Flower Impressed Fine Silver Earrings with Moonstone Cabochon

April has been a busy month so far. At San Jose Made, a woman mentioned that it would be nice to have smaller versions of my diamond / shield and round / shield earrings. Since i have been thinking in that direction, I created these earrings. The PMC is impressed with a flower pattern and then mounted 5mm moonstone cabochons at the center.

Carnelian is for Summer

Fine Silver & Carnelian Sun Pendant
How is this for literal? I saw this small cookie cutter in the shape of a sun and couldn't resist using it to make a pendant. The pendant is made of PMC. At the center of the pendant is a lovely, intense 8mm carnelian cabochon.

Summertime Carnelian Earrings

Fine Silver and Carnelian Earrings
I love intensely colored carnelian. The beautiful deep orange color reminds me of the heat of summer. The earrings are made of Fine Silver (PMC). The stone is mounted using a pre-made bezel which has been fired with the PMC. The carnelians are 5mm cabochons.

San Jose Made was a Success

San Jose Made was quite an event. I went to the event with low expectations which were quickly proven wrong. San Jose Eats brought in huge crowds. Food trucks have gained substantially in popularity over the years - so much so that they had double the number of people expected. Combine that with a San Jose Sharks game that evening and traffic was great.

I think its a great idea that a community supports its local artisans. Go San Jose Made.
